Job Title: AS400 Tester with WMS Experience
Location: Dallas, TX- Hybrid- 3 days Onsite Duration: 12 months contract Experience: 10 Years
Job Summary We are seeking an experienced
AS400 Tester
with strong expertise in
Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience in testing AS400 applications, validating WMS integrations, and ensuring data integrity across logistics and supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities
Perform
functional, integration, and regression testing
on AS400-based WMS applications.
Review
business requirements, functional specifications, and technical documents
to create detailed test plans and test cases.
Execute
manual and automated test cases
on AS400 systems and validate data across various modules.
Work closely with
development, business, and operations teams
to ensure end‑to‑end testing coverage.
Validate
inbound and outbound WMS interfaces , including order management, inventory updates, shipping, and warehouse transactions.
Conduct
data validation and reconciliation
between AS400 and other integrated systems.
Identify, document, and track defects using standard tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, or similar).
Support
UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
and provide post‑implementation validation.
Participate in
release and deployment activities
ensuring quality and stability of WMS modules.
Required Skills and Experience
5 10 years
of experience in software testing with a focus on
AS400 systems (iSeries, RPG, CL, DB2) .
Strong understanding of
WMS processes
inbound, outbound, inventory, put‑away, picking, shipping, and order fulfillment.
Proficiency in
SQL and DB2 queries
for data verification.
Experience in
test planning, execution, and defect management .
Hands‑on experience with
tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, or Zephyr .
Familiarity with
supply chain and logistics domain
is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Nice to Have
Exposure to
automation testing
on AS400 systems (e.g., with Robot or Selenium for frontend integration).
Experience working in
Agile/Scrum environments .
Knowledge of
EDI transactions
and WMS integration with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Education
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
