HR Engagement Coordinator

The
HR Engagement Coordinator
supports the Human Resources department through a variety of administrative, onboarding, and employee engagement activities. This highly visible, bilingual position serves as the 'front face' of HR, welcoming new employees, assisting staff with HR questions, and coordinating internal programs that promote communication, culture, and employee recognition. The Coordinator will manage onboardings and orientations, employee programs, and HR events throughout the year.
This is a
Full-Time position Schedule:

many more! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage the onboarding process for all new hires, including data entry, new hire paperwork, and orientation preparation.
• Perform background checks and manage drug screenings for new hires.
• Set up employee profiles in HRIS and ensure completion of all required documents, including I-9 and tax forms.
• Schedule and conduct new hire orientations and assist with onboarding presentations.
• Coordinate 90-day and annual performance review reminders.
• Serve as the first point of contact for employee questions and requests.
• Develop and distribute the monthly employee newsletter.
• Coordinate monthly employee birthday and anniversary celebrations.
• Manage the Employee of the Month program and maintain physical and digital bulletin boards and communication displays.
• Design flyers, signage, and internal communications for HR events and initiatives.
• Assist with planning and execution of employee programs such as Kickoff Party, Holiday Party, Health Fair, and End-of-Season Celebration.
• Post open positions and assist with candidate coordination and interview scheduling.
• Support H-2B program and tracking in partnership with HR Director.
• Assist in maintaining employee personnel files and digital records.
• Assist staff with employee changes in HRIS (address, phone, direct deposit, etc.).
• Collect and route workers' compensation incident reports to the Payroll & Benefits Specialist for follow-up.
• Assist with HR projects, audits, and seasonal preparation as needed.
• Provide backup to the Payroll & Benefits Specialist for basic data entry or payroll processing as needed.
• Support overall HR department goals and initiatives.
• All other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Possess strong organizational, written and time management skills. Exhibit professionalism and leadership qualities through own self-actions. Must be compliant with and actively support a drug free workplace. Comply with all rules and regulations as stated whether verbal or written. Outgoing and approachable, with a passion for employee engagement. Strong follow-through and commitment to service. Creative, resourceful, and a team player. Qualifications:
Education/Experience: 1+ years of administrative or HR experience (hospitality, country club, or service industry experience preferred). Bilingual (English & Spanish) required. Excellent communication, organizational, and people skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable learning HRIS systems. Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and an upbeat, enthusiastic personality. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment. H-2B experience a plus.
