Job Title
Completes various tasks in order to prepare and paint products and parts. Duties include preparation of and masking/de-masking of products, prime/paint/coat complex products, measure/examine products for conformance, process/drawing and specification interpretation, make workflow decisions and assist Painter 1 and 2, evaluate work areas to identify any hazards or unsafe conditions, ensure all PPE is in place prior to beginning the painting or plating process, and other duties as assigned. Education/Experience Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent Trade school diploma in paint/coating application and/or 10+ year's practical experience in paint/coating application. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings Ability to read and interpret blue print instructions Ability to write procedures and processes for etching, plating and painting of product to meet Mil-Spec requirements Knowledge to troubleshoot paint and coating non-conformance issues and provide corrective actions Ability to part mark, stencil and silk screen products Must possess very good hand/eye skills and have the ability to use those skills in the painting and coating of complex products. Group Leader or Supervisory experience a plus. Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for certain periods throughout the day Must be able to climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands, working at heights with fall protection devices Must be able to crouch, crawl, grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbow/knee and reach above/below shoulders May be required to lift up to 50 pounds and carry for short distances May be required to read dials/gauges, identify small objects and hand tools Must be able to see imperfections, micrometer readings and other small scales Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear Must be able to distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth Equal Opportunity Employer: TNC and its subsidiaries fall under ANCSA and are entitled under Federal Law to extend hiring preferences to its shareholders.
