Sales Engineer
We're seeking a Sales Engineer who thrives at the intersection of healthcare, AI, and enterprise sales. As one of the first Sales Engineers at Assort Health, you'll help provider organizations and digital health innovators understand, integrate, and scale our Voice AI and patient-access automation platform. You'll collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Engineering to design technical solutions, tailor demos, and ensure seamless evaluations from discovery to go-live. You'll translate complex AI and interoperability concepts into clear clinical and operational value. This role is for someone who understands both the technical and business sides. You should be as comfortable mapping out EHR and API workflows as you are leading a demo for a hospital executive. What You'll Do: Lead technical discovery alongside AEs to uncover data sources, workflows, and integration constraints. Design and deliver tailored demos and proofs-of-concept that highlight measurable outcomes (e.g., improved scheduling efficiency, reduced call volume). Map integration paths across EHRs, CRMs, and patient engagement tools using APIs, FHIR, and HL7. Own the technical win: guide prospects through evaluation, security review, and early implementation. Partner with Engineering to surface field insights that influence roadmap and integration priorities. Develop scalable enablement contentsolution briefs, demo scripts, data-flow diagrams, and technical FAQs. Stay ahead of trends in conversational AI, healthcare interoperability, and ambient clinical intelligence. What You'll Bring: 58 years of experience in solutions consulting, implementation, or technical pre-sales within B2B enterprise SaaS. Startup experience: comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration. Technical Depth: strong with REST APIs, data pipelines, and auth (OAuth, SSO); can debug and prototype integrations. AI/ML: familiar with LLMs (prompting, retrieval, grounding), STT/NLP stacks, and major cloud AI services. Python backend script for demos and data transformations. Solution Design: can diagram architectures for voice and workflow automation, mapping system data flows. Sales Collaboration: connects technical proof to ROI; supports AEs in quantifying value. Communication: explains complexity clearly; credible across technical and business audiences. Hands-on experience with cloud communications infrastructure and VoIP systems. Nice-to-Haves: Experience in healthcare AI, digital health SaaS, or workflow automation. Familiar with EHRs (Epic, Athena, eCW, NextGen), PHI, and HIPAA. Hands-on with Epic App Orchard, AthenaOne, Cerner, or Redox integrations. Understanding of SOC 2, HIPAA, and HITRUST compliance. Experience selling to or enabling provider groups, clinics, or health systems.
