Assistant/Associate/Full Professor – Nursing Join the Mark and Robyn Jones College of Nursing at Montana State University. The College offers a baccalaureate in nursing, accelerated baccalaureate, Master of Nursing focused on clinical leadership, and Doctor of Nursing Practice programs. It has five campus locations across the state and is developing a new Certified Nurse Midwifery program. The College receives philanthropic support of $101 million from the founders of Goosehead Insurance.

The College is searching for tenure‑track faculty with primary responsibilities teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing courses, developing and/or sustaining a funded research program, and participating in professional/service activities. Faculty members are expected to establish a focused research program and to successfully seek extramural funding. All members of the faculty are expected to engage in college and university service and to provide nursing leadership in Montana and beyond through active participation in professional nursing organizations. The College seeks diverse faculty who can help students from diverse backgrounds succeed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Provide outstanding instruction in undergraduate and graduate nursing courses at the College.

Develop and maintain a funded research program with a focus relevant to nursing practice.

Publish research findings in peer‑reviewed nursing journals.

Participate in professional, college, and university service by serving on committees and in professional nursing organizations.

Actively contribute to the growth and expansion of the College through involvement in new program development.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and partners within the university and external health‑care providers.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Doctorate in nursing or a related field (ABD or nearing completion considered for Assistant Professor).

One graduate degree in nursing.

Record of or demonstrable potential for excellence in teaching.

Record of excellence or demonstrable potential for excellence in research and scholarship.

Eligibility for RN licensure in Montana.

Evidence of strong written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Experience with simulation pedagogy and distance delivery.

Demonstrated potential or ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary teams.

Evidence of service to the nursing profession.

Potential to foster and support student and faculty diversity.
