Operational Quality Engineer (Arcade, NY)
Base Pay Range $70,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr
Full Time Hire
1st Shift Monday to Friday 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM
Job Description Responsible for providing effective management of our internal and external quality and supporting our improvement system.
Investigate internal quality issues to determine root cause
Manage and lead the improvements needed to correct internal quality issues
Manage and lead our internal improvement system
Manage and lead the improvements needed to correct external quality issues
Measure parts as required to meet our internal and external goals.
Maintain information allowing the organization to stay focused on Quality, meeting Customer Requirements, and overall Customer Satisfaction.
Control and disposition of non-conforming product.
Instruct, coordinate and train employees to adhere to ISO standards, general quality principles, best manufacturing practices, and safety standards.
Provide status of ongoing issues, projects and communicate progress.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams, Management and customers to get positive results and bring closure to quality issues.
Management and Audit preparedness of our ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
Coordinate Management Review Meetings.
Coordinate Internal Audits.
Maintain control of ISO documents and ensure their continued accuracy.
Competencies
Ability to read and interpret prints and their associated sub-prints.
Ability to calculate tolerance stack and make recommendations to print changes.
A working knowledge of GD&T including the creation of call outs and selection of datums is required.
Ability to measure parts based on Engineering prints with handheld devised, as well as, stationary or mobile cmm devices.

Education and Experience Bachelor's degree, Manufacturing or Industrial preferred, and 7 or more years related experience in a fabrication or assembly shop and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requirements
Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System.
Knowledge of general Quality processes and best practices.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams within and outside the organization.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.
Strong computer Business systems knowledge.
