Role:
Python Data Engineer Location:
Houston, TX 77002 (Hybrid - 3 days onsite) Duration:
12+ month contract with possible extension Requirements: 3-5 years of strong Python development experience
Expertise in FastAPI and microservices architecture
Experience with deployments using Docker, Kubernetes, and monitoring tools
Familiarity with automated testing and test-driven development (TDD)
Proficient in Git source control, Git Actions, CI/CD, VS Code, and GitHub Copilot
Expertise in both on-premises SQL databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, DB2) and NoSQL databases
Working knowledge of data warehousing and ETL processes
Ability to explain business functionality of previous projects and applications
Optional: Cloud computing experience (AWS, GCS, Azure not required)
Strong multitasking skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
