Principal APX Project Manager – Westinghouse Electric Company
Location: Cranberry Township, PA
Salary: $90,000 – $112,500 per year
As a Principal APX Project Manager you will work cross‑functionally to establish components needed to be procured for open projects. You will manage the database and collaborate with the teams to ensure PO readiness based on procurement status, managing multiple work streams directly supporting project opportunities related to AP1000, AP300, and other products within the APX Delivery Portfolio. You will report to the Project Manager 2, Global AP1000 Delivery Stream and must meet the criteria for access to the company’s, partners’ and clients’ technologies while complying with import/export control laws and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management – identify and resolve gaps in the project component database, maintain accurate records of delivered components, track components for procurement, collaborate with stakeholders, and monitor and report project metrics.
Scope Management – lead execution of project scope based on established priorities, support resolution of project‑related issues, and facilitate cross‑functional team meetings.
Supplier Development & Management – lead supplier kick‑off and pre‑job meetings, coordinate regular meetings with suppliers and internal teams, oversee supplier execution (QA witness points, fabrication, testing, documentation), manage purchase order changes, provide schedule and status updates, and coordinate shipments with logistics while ensuring compliance with procedures and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Power Engineering preferred, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in Power Generation, Nuclear, or similar regulated industries.
Knowledge of programming software is a plus.
Fluent in English; secondary language skills a plus.
Willingness to travel up to 20% to support emerging project issues and supplier development.
