Electrical Estimator

The Commercial Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial electrical projects. This role involves analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. The estimator collaborates with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure bids are comprehensive and aligned with project goals. Responsibilities

Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Conduct site visits and attend pre-bid meetings as needed. Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Collaborate with project teams to ensure estimates align with construction plans and schedules. Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options. Maintain and update estimating databases and tools. Assist in post-bid reviews and project handoffs. Essential Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, construction management, or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably in commercial construction. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices. Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., EDM, Planswift) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines. The position is full-time on-site in the Oviedo location. Please note that no car allowance or cell phone is provided. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oviedo, Florida. The pay range for this position is $28.85 - $33.65/hr.
