Job Description The Securitized Products Trader will be a key member of the Securitized Products Group addressing firmwide trading needs across one or more sectors, including ABS, RMBS, CMBS and/or CLO. Responsibilities include comprehensive sector coverage with a particular focus on partnering with structured credit analysts and portfolio managers, relative value idea generation, best execution strategies, assessing market risk pricing, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess a team-first approach to their work, demonstrate strong trading proficiency, effectively communicate market observations and investment recommendations, and collaboratively engage in cross-sector investment discussions.
Job Responsibilities
Comprehensive trading coverage of assigned sectors within primary and secondary markets. Partner with structured credit analysts and portfolio managers to address investment needs across the firm’s strategies. Establish trading and operational workflow to achieve best execution.
Deliver timely market insights and commentary to internal constituents. Support investment decision making through recommendations based on market technicals, trading trends and relative value.
Maintain views on market risk pricing and recommend preferred positioning across capital structures. Address relevant risk factors such liquidity, duration, convexity, etc. Communicate investment risk and appropriateness of various bond profiles based on the investment objectives of portfolios.
Maintain relationships across the dealer community to strengthen firm’s positioning within securitized products.
Collaborate across the Securitized Products Group to support cross-sector relative value recommendations.
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant experience within securitized products. Highly motivated and self-driven. Familiarity across the various securitized sectors, with strong proficiency in one or more preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient delivering concise market observations and recommendations. Experience in client engagement settings.
Team-oriented mentality toward conducting investment work. Able to contribute to cross-sector decision making across securitized products.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Attention to detail. Operational excellence. Established broker dealer relationships.
Education and Certification
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or a related field.
CFA credential is desirable.
