Doran Jones is looking for a hands‑on Lead QA Automation Engineer to play a strong leadership role, owning automated testing across our web products and setting the QA vision for future releases. You will architect, design, build, and run comprehensive test suites, integrate them into our CI/CD toolchain, and drive quality from planning through release in a fast‑paced Agile team. Responsibilities

Define and evangelize the full‑stack test strategy for functional, security, integration, regression, performance, and smoke tests. Own the QA roadmap and communicate progress to engineering leadership. Lead and mentor QA Engineers—document standards. Champion a quality‑first culture. Manage test data and environments. Set development standards for testability. Build and maintain comprehensive automation. Develop UI + API tests in Playwright/TypeScript. Extend existing Selenium/Python suites when needed. Integrate with CI/CD toolchain. Embed tests in GitHub Actions / Jenkins for quick and reliable releases. Analyze and report defects. Log, track, and verify fixes in Jira. Provide clear, actionable feedback. Influence Agile ceremonies (planning, stand‑ups, retro, grooming) with Dev, Product, and DevOps. Continuously improve frameworks. Apply Page Object Model (POM) and other coding best practices. Continuously evaluate our testing tools and benchmark them against industry best practices to ensure optimal performance. Recommend and adopt upgrades to keep the automation stack modern and efficient. Supervise quality gates. Monitor static code analysis, vulnerability scans, and performance metrics to ensure optimal system functionality. Establish metrics and processes, track quality KPIs, and champion process improvements to drive continuous improvement. Attend/complete assigned information security training by the designated completion date. Complete required information security training within assigned deadlines. Follow ISMS security policies and procedures. Report any observed security violations or risks promptly to leadership or the IT department. Required Experience

7+ years in software QA, with 3+ years focused on Playwright/TypeScript automation. Strong coding proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with practical experience testing modern web applications. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and API testing frameworks (Postman, REST‑assured, Playwright API). Exposure to performance testing tools and methodologies. Working knowledge of SonarQube, Veracode, and defect tracking with Jira. Skilled in test data management, environment setup, and debugging distributed systems. Familiarity with Microsoft D365 is a plus. ISTQB or equivalent certification preferred. $70,000 - $150,000 a year. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as role, work experience, education and training, skill level, market conditions, and the candidate's geographic location.
