SelectTech Services Corp . Location: Colorado Springs, CO Responsibilities
Assemble and/or create major assembly structures and minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming. Align parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures; measure parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions. Modify incomplete and complete assemblies and incorporate changes into the structure. Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process control or other quality control procedures. Qualifications
High School Diploma or its equivalent. 5-10 years’ experience performing depot level structural installations/repairs on large military cargo aircraft or commercial equivalents. Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications; ability to complete installations per technical drawings while maintaining edge distance and pitch. Progressive experience with structure assembly, minor part fitting techniques and repair and refinishing such as airframe corrosion removal/prevention, as applicable. Ability to install various fasteners such as rivets and hi-locks. May require certain certifications in field. Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience operating within an AS9100 Quality Management System. Effective communication skills in a fast-paced, complex manufacturing environment. Able to work as part of a team or alone depending on complexity of installation. Must have own tools in good working order. FAA Airframe and Powerplant License, preferred, but not required. Relevant prior military service working on C-130 variant airframes. Solid judgement and decision-making skills. Strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills. Must be able to qualify for and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. Seniority level
