retained client , a leading general contractor specializing in water and wastewater treatment infrastructure, is seeking a highly experienced and strategic
Senior Project Manager
to oversee large-scale construction projects across the U.S.
Base pay range $180,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr
The Role You’ll lead critical water/wastewater treatment plant projects ranging from $50M to $300M+, delivered through CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, or Design-Bid-Build methods. This is a true seller‑doer role, combining project execution with client engagement and business development.
Key Responsibilities
Manage planning, execution, and close‑out of major treatment plant projects.
Lead multidisciplinary teams including engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
Ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget targets are met.
Oversee procurement, risk management, and compliance with technical standards.
Promote a safety‑first culture across all project phases.
Client & Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary contact for owners, engineers, and stakeholders.
Build and maintain long‑term client relationships.
Provide expert guidance on constructability and delivery methods.
Lead partnering sessions and progress meetings.
Business Development
Identify and pursue new opportunities in the water/wastewater sector.
Collaborate on proposals and strategic pursuits.
Represent the company at industry events and presentations.
Establish and manage project budgets and forecasts.
Work closely with finance teams on cost control and reporting.
Mentor and develop project staff.
Foster a high‑performing, collaborative team culture.
Support professional growth and conduct performance reviews.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or equivalent experience.
10+ years in heavy civil or industrial construction.
5+ years in water/wastewater plant projects.
Strong technical knowledge of treatment systems and construction methods.
Excellent communication and client management skills.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., CMiC, Procore, MS Project).
Preferred
Design‑Build and CMAR experience.
OSHA safety training.
$180,000 - $240,000 + Bonus
