Junior Rail Systems Engineer - Traction Power and Electrical
In this role, you will join Hatch’s Rail Systems Engineering group in Los Angeles, CA, focusing on traction power and electrical infrastructure for North American railway projects.
As a Successful Candidate, You Will
Work with an elite group of rail systems design professionals on heavy rail and transit markets.
Participate in design, testing, and commissioning activities on transportation projects focused on traction power and electrical infrastructure.
Collaborate with team members locally and globally to accomplish project objectives.
You Bring To The Role
ANSI/IEEE knowledge of core electrical and power engineering concepts.
1–3 years of professional engineering experience, preferably in rail or related infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills, teamwork, and ability to multi‑task and meet deadlines.
Experience with electronics, electric power, multi‑system integration, and software development.
Technical writing and drafting proficiency with CAD and related tools.
Self‑motivated problem‑solving and research skills.
Familiarity with field testing and power background.
The Following Skills/experience Are a Plus
EIT (Engineer in Training) registration.
CAD expertise.
Field testing experience.
Power background knowledge.
