Employment Type:
Full-Time, Shift: First (4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week).
Security Clearance:
Secret – candidate must be a U.S. person and able to obtain a secret clearance.
Job Summary:
As a Manufacturing Engineer – CNC Machining, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing efficient CNC machining processes to produce high-quality production parts. You will create and revise CNC programs, verify them, manage tooling, troubleshoot issues, train operators, and support new machine acquisition.
Responsibilities
Creating and revising CNC machining programs for production parts
Verifying programs through prove-outs on production machines
Specifying and controlling workholding and tooling
Creating and revising manufacturing work instructions
Troubleshooting and resolving production issues on the shop floor
Training production machine operators
Assisting in acquisition and installation of new machines and tooling
Basic Qualifications
Knowledge of machining processes and ability to evaluate and resolve machining problems
Experience with CAM software (NX)
Experience creating CNC programs for production parts
Experience with 3D CAD software (PTC CREO)
Experience programming G-code at the machine control
Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings and GD&T
Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
Desired Skills
Experience with VMCs, HMCs, CNC lathes, Mill-turn, and Gantry Mills
Experience designing/specifying custom workholding
Experience writing manufacturing work instructions
