In this role, you’ll contribute to the design and development of industrial web-handling and converting machinery — including equipment used for processing films, textiles, nonwovens, and paper materials. The ideal candidate will have strong technical design ability, a solid engineering mindset, and experience taking projects from concept through successful installation.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop custom mechanical machinery and components from concept to completion. Collaborate closely with sales, manufacturing, and customers to understand project needs and translate them into practical engineering solutions. Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and documentation using AutoDesk Inventor. Support manufacturing through build, testing, and installation phases. Participate in technical discussions and occasional customer site visits to ensure successful design outcomes. Update manuals, parts lists, and other technical documentation as needed.
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in mechanical machinery or component design. Proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor is required (other 3D CAD software may be considered). Strong understanding of mechanical principles, applied math, and engineering calculations. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) is highly preferred; equivalent experience in a related industry will be considered. Experience with web handling, textile, or converting equipment is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).
Why This Role
Opportunity to be part of a highly specialized machinery design team with a reputation for innovation in web-handling and converting solutions. Collaborative culture where engineering and sales work hand-in-hand to deliver custom solutions. Exposure to a variety of industrial machinery projects and ongoing product development.
