Job Summary
The Grant Coordinator will advance LMCM’s mission by researching, writing, and managing grants that support our ministries, programs, and capital projects. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from local, national, government, and nonprofit organizations. The Grant Coordinator will prepare high-quality grant proposals, manage grant coding, and oversee tracking and reporting to various agencies throughout all stages of the grant lifecycle. The ideal candidate is organized, detail‑oriented, and passionate about supporting ministry growth through effective resource development. Strong attention to deadlines, exceptional follow‑through, and the ability to manage both accounting and administrative aspects of grants are essential for success in this role.
Compensation $20.00/hr - $28.00/hr, 10–20 hours per week (based on experience)
Essential Job Functions
Creating and maintaining an active spreadsheet of grant applications, deadlines, and requirements
Working with LMCM Directors and other members of leadership in applying for grants and receiving the necessary information from specific branches for area‑specific grants
Assists in ensuring that all financial procedures are completed by leaders within the ministry to ensure all steps are being completed in grant applications and acceptances of funds
Assists the Director of Financial Services by tracking budgeted expenses and requests for grant funds
Run financial expense reports for grant tracking as required by individual grant programs
Coordinates the pre‑award planning, organization, and preparation, and the post‑award administration of various grants assigned to one or more departments
Monitors the financial management of grants (e.g., budget preparation, budget adjustments, expenditures, etc.) for the purpose of complying with all program and funding guidelines of awarding organizations
Provides guidance and support to investigators in the identification and development of grant opportunities
Keeps track of grant procedures, spending, requests, and departmental needs
Research and identify grant opportunities that align with LMCM’s mission and strategic goals
Maintain a comprehensive grants calendar, including submission deadlines and reporting requirements
Collaborate with leadership to align grant priorities with ministry needs
Prepare compelling letters of inquiry, proposals, budgets, and supporting documents
Coordinate with program and finance teams to ensure accuracy of data and outcomes
Track all grant‑related activities, deadlines, and deliverables
Manage reporting requirements for awarded grants
Build and maintain positive relationships with funders
Communicate regularly with leadership about progress, outcomes, and funding trends
Other duties as the supervisor deems necessary
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Nonprofit Management, English, or a related field (preferred)
1–2 years of experience in grant writing or nonprofit development
Strong written communication and attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and grant tracking tools
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
