Organize and coordinate the shipping of finished products and the arrival of raw materials, based on the company sales and production requirements. Coordinate the activities within the logistics office and be the reference person for any issue. Ability to provide support/advice and to solve problems independently.
Summary :
The role involves coordinating all activities related to Transportation and Distribution, both inside and outside the United States, ensuring a general cost reduction, as well as a high level of service provided.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate all activities related to Transportation and Distribution. Prepare necessary documents for each shipment, including but not limited to packing list, bill of lading, COA, invoice, USMCA, certificate of origin. Arrange shipments/pick-ups with carriers based on the agreed Incoterms established from the Sales Department. Track shipments and immediately inform the relevant team in case of any delay or change from the scheduled plan. Organize the release and shipment of goods from external warehouses. Coordinate shipments via freight forwarders, Customs Agents, and relevant authorities. Gather freight quotes from multiple carriers to compare and negotiate rates. Coordinate with Supply Chain any incoming shipments of materials. Check freight invoices and all transportation documents for correctness. Ensure proper filing of any logistic documents. Follow all rules and methods of land and sea hazardous goods shipping as well as IATA for all airfreight shipments. Other Responsibilities
Be an effective backup to Shipping/Receiving. Manage any possible claim with carriers for the resolution of damage that occurred during transportation of goods. Job Details
