Windows/Wintel Engineer Location: Sandy Springs, GA Job Description We are seeking skilled and experienced Wintel Engineers to support the upgrade and migration of legacy Windows Server environments to modern platforms. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Windows Server administration/implementation, virtualization technologies, and enterprise infrastructure integration. Responsibilities • Lead the build, installation, and configuration of Windows Server 2022/2025 on physical and virtual machines. • Perform server upgrades and migrations. • Integrate servers into enterprise networks with proper VLAN, firewall, and IP configurations • Apply OS patches and updates using tools like SCCM and manage endpoint protection • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance, including installation of monitoring agents • Maintain detailed documentation of deployment procedures and inventory using CMDB systems • Support backup policy configuration and privileged access management (PAM) requests. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to server performance, connectivity, and application compatibility.

Required Skills & Experience • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server OS (2008 R2, 2012, 2016, 2019, 2022,2025). • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Print Services. • Experience with VMware vCenter, ESXi, and virtualization tools (P2V, V2V, snapshots, templates). • Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP) and firewall configurations. • Ability to work in large enterprise environments and coordinate with cross-functional teams. • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications • Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or Azure Administrator Associate. • VMware Certified Professional (VCP). • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus. • Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, VBScript) for automation. • Familiarity with SQL, SCCM, ServiceNow, and monitoring tools."
