Position Summary
The Overnight Security Manager oversees all overnight security operations at [Luxury Union Property Name], ensuring the safety, security, and privacy of guests, residents, staff, and property assets. This position is responsible for directing third-party union security personnel, maintaining compliance with property standards, union agreements, and applicable regulations. The role requires balancing strong security oversight with the refined guest experience expected at a luxury union property.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate activities of third-party union security staff during overnight shifts. Ensure all security team members operate in compliance with property policies, union contracts, and local labor regulations. Monitor property access points, surveillance systems, and patrol reports to maintain safety standards. Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential risks or safety concerns. Serve as the on-site leader for emergencies, incidents, and guest or resident security concerns. Document and escalate incident reports, shift summaries, and union-related concerns to management. Maintain professional working relationships with union staff while ensuring accountability and adherence to luxury property service expectations. Partner with union representatives when appropriate to address staffing or performance issues. Assist in developing and maintaining security procedures, emergency response plans, and training standards. Safeguard confidential information while upholding guest and resident privacy. Qualifications
Minimum [X] years of security supervisory experience, preferably within hospitality, luxury residential, or high-profile unionized environments. Proven experience managing contracted and/or unionized security staff. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills. Knowledge of labor contracts, union protocols, and best practices for managing union personnel. Ability to remain calm and exercise sound judgment during emergencies. Familiarity with surveillance systems, access control, and incident reporting software. CPR, First Aid, and AED certification preferred. Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays. Core Competencies
