Temporary - Educational Opportunity Centers Program Administrative Support Associate at Inside Higher Ed / Fayetteville State University. The Educational Opportunity Center helps high school seniors, high school graduates and college dropouts to make career choices and set educational goals. Services include information on college admissions requirements and financial aid, and assistance with FAFSA. This is a full-time, time-limited position with one vacancy. Primary Purpose of the Position
The Administrative Support Associate will assist in coordinating office activities and serve as the receptionist for the Educational Opportunity Centers Program. Responsibilities include typing letters, memorandums, requisitions, and reports; establishing and maintaining office files; typing minutes of meetings; greeting visitors and answering telephone calls; coordinating travel for staff and students; scheduling appointments; completing requisitions for supplies; receiving and distributing mail; reconciling the program budget via QuickBooks and the university financial system; completing monthly budget reports; and performing other related duties as assigned. High school diploma or equivalent. One year or more of office support or administrative experience; preferably in an academic environment. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Professional customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Knowledge of basic office support and management principles. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook; ability to learn new systems. Attention to detail, problem solving, and ability to maintain confidentiality while managing competing priorities. Ability to work with faculty, staff, students, vendors, and guests in a professional manner. Special Instructions to Applicants
