Job Description: Physician - Hematology Oncology
Join a well-established practice in Clinton, Iowa, where you'll have the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility. This full-time position as a Medical Oncologist/Hematologist offers a collaborative work environment and a supportive team focused on providing exceptional care to a diverse patient population, primarily adults and geriatrics. The practice is attached to the hospital and benefits from a robust primary care network that ensures a steady stream of referrals.
Job Responsibilities:
Coverage primarily at the facility in Clinton, IA, with potential rotation to Genesis Health System in Davenport, IA. Split time approximately 30% Hematology and 70% Medical Oncology. Minimal after-hour calls conducted by phone only. Manage an average of 30 patient visits per day, with new patient appointments allocated 30 minutes each and follow-ups 15 minutes. Work alongside a team consisting of four RNs, an MA, a CNA, and a receptionist to enhance patient care. Utilize onsite Radiation Oncology services in collaboration with the University of Iowa. Engage in local initiatives aimed at achieving COC (Commission on Cancer) Accreditation in response to community health needs. Qualifications:
Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Medical Oncology. Board Eligible (within 5 years of residency) or Board Certified in Hematology. Iowa medical license (or willingness to obtain). Preferred: Clean malpractice history. License and Certification Requirements:
