Job Description
Superlanet is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Consultant to support our healthcare client in Northern California. This role will partner closely with the IT teams, driving procurement excellence across hardware, software, and SaaS initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine deep sourcing expertise with strong analytical and negotiation skills to deliver cost-effective, compliant, and innovative supplier solutions. This is a 6 month contract (high possibility of extension) with hybrid onsite expectations.
Key Responsibilities Market Analysis:
Research and analyze market trends and supplier landscapes to identify opportunities and assess risks. Benchmarking & Quote Analysis:
Evaluate quotes and benchmark data to identify key cost-saving levers and performance metrics. Sourcing Leadership:
Lead the full sourcing lifecycle - including RFQs, RFIs, and RFPs - followed by analysis, commercial negotiations, and contract awards. Negotiations:
Drive negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and long-term partnerships. Supplier Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers; monitor and evaluate supplier performance. Contract Management:
Draft, manage, and ensure compliance with supplier agreements, partnering with legal and compliance teams as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with internal departments to understand procurement needs and ensure sourcing strategies align with business objectives. Reporting & Analytics:
Prepare and present sourcing reports, spend analyses, and forecasts to senior management. Continuous Improvement:
Develop supplier management methodologies and process improvement strategies to optimize procurement operations. Required Skills & Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. Experience:
Several years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations within a complex enterprise or healthcare environment. Analytical Skills:
Proven ability to analyze data, identify insights, and make strategic recommendations. Negotiation Expertise:
Demonstrated success in negotiating both simple and complex supplier agreements with favorable outcomes. Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present findings and influence stakeholders. Technical Proficiency:
Strong Excel skills and familiarity with procurement and contract management systems. Strategic Thinking:
Ability to align sourcing strategies with organizational goals and long-term business objectives.
