Pinellas County Government . Base pay range $22.01/hr - $35.21/hr What Will You Do? Lead person of a small to medium-sized construction crew installing, maintaining and repairing of water, sewer, and reclaimed apparatuses. Performs and directs visual inspection of sewer lines. Installs clean-outs, backflow devices. Performs related work as assigned or required. What Do You Need? High school diploma or GED and 3 years of skilled utilities field experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience. Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Class A Commercial Driver's License with Tanker endorsement upon hire with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) driving report. Possession and maintenance of a valid Level 3 Water Distribution System Operator License obtained in accordance with Florida Administrative Code, Chapter 62-602, Drinking Water and Domestic Wastewater Treatment Plant Operators upon hire. Possession and maintenance of Temporary Traffic Control Certification within 9 months of employment. Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations. Candidate may be required to perform manual labor for extended periods occasionally in adverse weather conditions. Highly Desirable Ability to operate medium to large excavating equipment. Working knowledge of GIS mapping system for water, sewer and reclaim infrastructure. Benefits Our benefits rank among the top in the area.
