Pay Range: $21-$23 Hourly Overview: To assist the Food Service Manager with the daily operations of the kitchen and dining facilities. The position requires you to live "On-Site". Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with food service preparation Assist with meal/snack preparation if required and ensure their readiness in accordance with the scheduled meal/snack times Assist with all inventory procedures Store all leftovers and unused food after each meal/snack Assist with cleaning and care of the kitchen Responsible for the care, cleanliness, and upkeep of the staff break room Secure the kitchen before leaving at the end of all scheduled events Attend and participate in training and conferences Inside Maintenance: Maintain the Beverage Serving Area Re-stock beverage supplies and cups Clean the Dining Hall and kitchen bathrooms Re-stock paper products, soap and sanitizer Clean the staff dining room and break area Empty trash and replace all trash can liners Responsible for care and upkeep of all the equipment used in Dining Hall maintenance Wash and store dishes, pots, and pans Maintain cleanliness of all dishwashing areas Sweep the kitchen floor Sweep and spot-mop the dining room floor Prepare clean-up pans, cleaning cloths, and spatulas for each table Clean and maintain outside trash and mop storage Maintain inventory of supplies Drive to local grocery stores for items needed Other related duties as required Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (required) CA driver's license (required) Food Handler's certificate (preferred) Experience working in a kitchen Skills and Abilities: Ability to lead Team player Great communication Equipment Used: Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software Relevant kitchen equipment Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
