Job Description
MIG Welder II
Quakertown, PA
Hourly Rate: $22.00 - $26.00 (This is an overnight shift with a $2.00 differential on top of hourly rate)
Hours of shift: Monday - Thursday 3:30PM to 3:00AM (4 nights- 10 hour shifts)
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret shop drawings Gather and collect materials Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on specifications and ship drawings Accurately measure and cut miscellaneous materials Perform panel layout in accordance with drawings Pre-assembly panel components in preparation for weld Perform welds to ensure panel stays secured Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) Secure wall assembly onto crane, lift of jigs and move to the next operation Attends and/or completes welder and safety training Maintains welding maintenance logs for welder certifications to remain current Perform sheathing of welded panels Other duties performed Requirements
5+ years of MIG Welding experience Experience in a manufacturing environment Trade School/Vocational Education in construction/carpentry and/or commercial carpentry experience Must be able to pass background, drug test, physical Benefits
