About the Role The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive team. The CFO will be a key leader in guiding the financial operations, strategy, and sustainability of the organization, which is dedicated to ending homelessness through housing and supportive services. This pivotal role involves overseeing all aspects of fiscal management, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. The successful candidate will ensure that the organization's resources are in line with its mission and strategic goals, and will be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, as well as managing cash flow, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
Applicants for the CFO position at the company should have a Bachelors degree and at least 10 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 6 years in financial leadership. Experience in nonprofit financial management, fund accounting, and grant compliance is strongly preferred. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in managing budgeting, forecasting, and audit functions in a mission-driven organization, as well as exceptional communication skills and a collaborative, mentoring leadership style. A Master's degree, CPA, or related advanced degree is a plus. The CFO will work closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and Board Finance Committee, and must be comfortable with cloud-based financial systems, with experience in Sage Intacct being advantageous.
