PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an
Electronics Test Technician
to support the testing and troubleshooting of advanced electronic circuit card assemblies and RF systems for a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer in
Oldsmar, FL . This
1-year contract-to-hire
position follows a
Thursday-Sunday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM schedule , offering steady, full-time hours in a high-precision production environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RF systems, circuit-level troubleshooting, and test instrumentation.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of
1 year of direct experience
testing electronic assemblies or subassemblies Skilled in
component-level troubleshooting
of solid-state, analog, digital, and RF circuits Hands-on experience with
flying probe
and
high-power testing Proficient in reading and interpreting
schematic diagrams
to isolate failures Experience using
oscilloscopes, network analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and RF power meters Proficiency with
Microsoft Office Suite
and electronic data collection systems for documentation Strong technical aptitude and attention to detail in a production test setting Desired Qualifications:
Extensive
RF testing experience Familiarity with
Radar Systems
or related high-frequency electronics Prior
military "backshop" experience
with electronics troubleshooting and repair Proven ability to meet tight schedules and quality requirements in a dynamic environment Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and calibrate test equipment for evaluating electronic assemblies and subassemblies Conduct and document functional, performance, and environmental tests following detailed procedures and standards Troubleshoot malfunctions and repair or replace defective components as directed Analyze test data to verify product performance and identify root causes of failure Assist engineers with test procedure development and product improvement initiatives Maintain accuracy and compliance in all test records, reports, and equipment logs Support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives
Education Requirements: High School Diploma (or equivalent) and additional technical training equivalent to a 2-year degree, or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical tasks.
