School Counselor (Long-Term Substitute) Anticipated Dates of Employment: December 19, 2025 - March 2026 Using the ASCA standards, responsibilities include: • Assist students across the domains of academic achievement, personal/social development, and career/college readiness • Design, deliver, and revise school counseling curriculum using diverse strategies and settings throughout the school year • Consult and collaborate with students and parents/guardians, and relevant community agencies, to support students facing challenges that impact their academic process • Provide individual planning sessions to students to support their progress towards academic and post-secondary goals as well as social/emotional development • Support the development of students' coping strategies to improve academic success and outcomes • Consult and collaborate with other school personnel in gathering and sharing information regarding students, and in establishing plans for interventions and supports, as needed • Additionally, counselors have a critical role in the 504 process • Other tasks as assigned by the High School Principal or Director of School Counseling/Guidance
