District: Mahomet-Seymour CUSD #3 Description: Education Office Personnel play a vital role in supporting students, families, and staff at Mahomet-Seymour High School in a positive and encouraging manner. This position is an integral part of the Mahomet-Seymour High School community, contributing to a welcoming and supportive environment for all. The primary responsibility of this position is to work closely with the Assistant Principal for Extra-Curricular Activities and serve as the building bookkeeper. In addition, this position is expected to provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the school office. This is a 10 1/2-month, 40 hour/week position.
Essential Qualifications & Skills: High-level computer knowledge including proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, etc.), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Canva. Experience working with web-based information systems and school databases. Excellent time management, organizational, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills. Ability to exercise discretion with confidential information while demonstrating professionalism and initiative. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Reliability, resourcefulness, and a team-oriented mindset. Strong cash management and reconciliation skills. Secretarial/clerical experience preferred but not required. Primary Responsibilities:
Assist with oversight and maintenance of the school athletic department, building level finances, and the high school Behind the Wheel Driver's education program. Communicate with students, parents, and staff regarding athletic related matters, school fees, and the Behind the Wheel program. Provide general administrative support, such as answering phones, responding to emails, and assisting visitors. Manage and update records using school information systems. Assist in coordinating school events, athletic schedules, and communications. Perform other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the school office.
Salary:
Starting pay is $20.83 per hour. Summary of 2025 Employee Benefits is attached.
