Accounts Payable Specialist in San Diego
Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional seeking a short-term opportunity to make an immediate impact? A leading nonprofit organization in San Diego is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team for a 6-week onsite assignment.
Position Highlights: Duration:
6 weeks (full-time, onsite only)
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Compensation:
$26-$28/hour
Location:
Central San Diego (onsite presence required for the duration of the assignment)
Role Overview:
The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for end-to-end AP processing across multiple entities within a collaborative accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who can quickly adapt to new environments and systems, and who thrives in a mission-driven setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Process electronic invoices and manage bill capture using cloud-based systems
Handle AP for 2-3 primary entities, with occasional support for additional entities
Organize and process invoices by vendor name/alphabet
Utilize purchase order programs and automated bill capture tools
Collaborate with a cross-trained team covering 10-12 entities
Maintain accuracy and timeliness in all AP functions
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of recent Accounts Payable experience
Proven ability to "plug and play" with minimal training
Familiarity with electronic invoice processing and cloud-based AP systems
Experience with NetSuite is a plus, but not required
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work fully onsite for the duration of the assignment
Additional Information:
Onsite supervision and training provided by experienced AP leadership
Background and drug screening may be required
This is a temporary assignment with limited potential for permanent placement
Pay Details:
$26.00 to $28.00 per hour
