has partnered with a company that is located in New Castle, DE. We are seeking a highly skilled
Accounting Manager
to oversee accounting operations for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for managing the month-end close process, preparing accurate financial statements, and supervising a small team. The ideal candidate will hold an
active CPA license , have experience in
manufacturing accounting , and be proficient in
SAP S/4HANA .
Job Title: Accounting Manager Location:
New Castle, DE Salary Range:
$90,000 - $110,000 annually (based on experience) Key Responsibilities: Month-End Close: Manage and execute the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor 2-3 accounting staff members, providing guidance and performance feedback.
Cost Accounting: Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Audit & Compliance: Maintain strong internal controls and support external and internal audits.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.
ERP Management: Utilize
SAP S/4HANA
for financial transactions, reporting, and system optimization.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Certification: Active CPA license
required.
Experience: Minimum
5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including
2-3 years in a supervisory role . Prior experience in
manufacturing industry
(pharmaceutical preferred).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in
SAP S/4HANA
and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP). Strong knowledge of GAAP and cost accounting principles.
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
