ER RN Qualifications & Requirements
Active New York Registered Nurse license (must be in hand at time of application)
Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Room RN experience
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; PALS and TNCC preferred
Proficiency with Epic EMR (Epic charting system experience required)
Availability to work holidays and weekends
Must reside more than 75 miles from Rochester, NY (travel nurse requirement)
First-time travel nurses are encouraged to apply
ER RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting
Perform triage, patient assessment, and emergency interventions for diverse diagnoses and trauma cases
Administer medications, manage IVs, and deliver advanced life support as needed
Operate and manage specialized equipment: arterial lines, central lines, ventilators, rapid infusers, and safe patient handling equipment
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR
Float to other hospital units as required
Adhere to all safety, infection control, and patient care protocols
