Job Title: Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioner – Full Time

Position Summary

The Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioner (LBHP) provides counseling and education to help youth and families develop the skills they need to meet their goals. In this role, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to establish individualized treatment plans, conduct comprehensive assessments, and provide therapy services in both clinical and community-based settings. You will play a vital role in improving behavioral expectations and fostering positive change through trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions. Compensation

$53,147 – $57,133 per year, based on education and experience. Additional raises guaranteed.

Professional Development Opportunities

Licensed Behavioral Health Practitioners receive ongoing supervision and professional development through in-service trainings, clinical support, and opportunities to expand expertise in trauma-informed and evidence-based care.

Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities

Establish individualized client and family-centered treatment goals in collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team

Complete comprehensive assessments, including risk, trauma, developmental, and mental health needs

Provide individual, family, group, and substance use counseling and treatment

Deliver trauma-informed, evidence-based interventions to reduce problem behaviors and support pro-social growth

Provide psychoeducation and wellness education to clients and families

Integrate services with community resources and promote skill-building

Communicate and collaborate with families, case planners, and medical practitioners

Enhance compliance with behavioral expectations through structured interventions

Maintain all required documentation and comply with regulations and standards

Attend mandatory trainings, team meetings, and supervision

Perform other duties as assigned by the Clinical Director or Treatment Team Supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong clinical skills in assessment, counseling, and treatment planning

Knowledge of trauma-informed and evidence-based therapeutic interventions

Experience working with youth and families affected by behavioral health and/or substance use challenges

Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills

Ability to adapt to change, work independently, and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team

Proficient in documentation and communication across multiple mediums

Qualifications

Required: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC or LMHC-P), Licensed Psychoanalyst, Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW under LCSW/Psychologist supervision), or Psychiatrist

LMSW or LMHC candidates may be considered with the stipulation that licensure must be obtained within 90 days of appointment

Experience providing individual, family, and group psychotherapy to adolescents and families (preferred)

Experience working with individuals in acute crisis and/or with substance use disorders (preferred)

Compliance with all required background checks and mandated trainings, including:

NYS SCR, SOR, DCJS fingerprinting, SEL, and OMIG Medicaid Exclusion

Mandated reporter training

Valid driver’s license, adequate auto insurance, and compliance with agency driving policy

Ability to pass an annual physical per agency health policy (Category 2 classification)

Compliance with agency safety standards and healthy work environment practices
