CareVet is offering a total compensation package of
$200K guaranteed in your first year (Based on experience)
at Bloomington Veterinary Hospital, in Bloomington, IN, as a full-time DVM team member. In addition to our customizable compensation package, this position offers a production bonus plan, clinical support, schedule flexibility, 401k match, access to our vacation plan, and "true" paid time off.
Practice medicine in a state-of-the-art facility!
We provide diagnostic, clinical and surgical care to not only dogs and cats, but also to pocket pets (guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, rats, etc). This comprehensive care makes us unique and offers variety to the hospital's day to day. The incoming Veterinarian will enjoy practicing medicine with top-notch equipment such as full in-house lab equipment including Istat and coags, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and digital dental x-ray! Additionally, Bloomington Veterinary Hospital has 5 exam rooms, two treatment areas, and a luxury surgery suite. Plus, you'll have the support of a strong, long-standing team who foster a friendly, positive atmosphere.

Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems Treat and dress wounds Perform surgery on animals Test for and vaccinate against diseases Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments Prescribe medication Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal Strong fondness and understanding of animals Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of animal behavior Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals
