Overview: This is a hybrid role based out of Malvern, PA (3 days in office) The Payroll and HRIS Specialist serves as a subject matter expert for HRIS-related initiatives, ensuring data integrity, optimizing system functionality, and supporting HR processes through technology solutions. This role supports HR operations through accurate data entry, system configuration, reporting, and compliance support. The position works closely with HR, Payroll, and external vendors to ensure efficient and compliant HRIS performance. The Payroll and HRIS Specialist will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day functionality of the system, researching and troubleshooting issues, testing new functionality, and general system configuration. Payroll responsibilities include salaried payroll processing, auditing, and maintaining payroll taxes. Who we are: At CubeSmart, were intentional about culture. HRIS: Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Support configuration, testing, and implementation of system enhancements or upgrades. Serve as the primary point of contact for HRIS-related inquiries and troubleshooting. Analyzing data to determine root causes and working with team on continued process improvement. Collaborate with the HR team, managers and teammates, to gain efficiencies in all HRIS and Payroll processes. Work within internal Change Management Process, including supporting Semi-annual auditor requests, documenting UKG system releases and submitting Change Management Tickets Payroll: Process weekly exempt payroll and provide back-up for non-exempt payroll processing. Audit weekly non-exempt payroll by reviewing payroll reports for accuracy and collaborating with Payroll team to finalize and process. Set up payroll tax related codes, investigate discrepancies, support quarterly tax audits and answer payroll tax related questions concerning payroll entries. Assist with creating and maintaining training materials in order to educate managers and teammates to be self-sufficient with HRIS/payroll tools and processes. Minimum Required Qualifications (including Programs/systems experience) 35 years of experience in HRIS platforms (UKG, ADP or similar), with hands-on responsibility for system configuration, updates, issue resolution, and process improvements. Multi-State operations experience. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Advanced critical thinking with an ability to analyze complex problems, identify root causes, interrelationships, and dependencies in order to craft effective solutions. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail with a strong analytical and problem-solving skill set. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Sound knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, payroll taxes, multi-state regulatory requirements. Ability to function well in a high-paced environment. Can work in a group setting or independently as a self-starter. Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills. Demonstrated high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency. Excellent customer service and collaboration skills. Additional Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Human Resource, Finance, and/or Accounting Experience with Cognos BI Experience with internal Change Management Process and External Auditor Controls around system changes. #LI-MT1 #Hybrid
