Responsibilities

Perform technical planning, high-level and detailed requirements definition, test planning and execution (including use cases, test procedures, and test data), software systems integration, and technical support for software systems and subsystems.

Perform software system product services, including concept design, test, installation, operation, maintenance, and disposal.

Serve as an active member of the software development team participating in daily stand-ups.

Utilize full-stack development expertise for .NET back-end applications using C#, unit testing, and deployment via Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines.

Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

Provide development support for solutions deployed to production.

Implement long-term solutions and building blocks within the Agile framework for improved reusability.

Interface with stakeholders for project requirements.

Apply and promote good software engineering practices such as test automation, modularization, and simplification.

Collaborate and coordinate with colleagues on various solutions and problems.

Document software designs, which may include design diagrams, data flow diagrams, and software module descriptions.

Use IDE tools including Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git.

Required Skills and Experience

Expertise in .NET Framework and .NET Core with strong proficiency in C#.

Experience developing back-end applications using MVC architecture and .NET Core.

Strong knowledge of OOP and design patterns.

Experience with RESTful APIs and other APIs.

Proficiency in database design and development, particularly SQL Server and Entity Framework.

Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS.

Experience with version control systems (Git, TFS/TFVC).

Understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, CodeDeploy).

Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (NUnit, xUnit, MSTest).

Proficient with development tools like Visual Studio and Visual Studio Code.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality software.

Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to junior developers.

Strong time-management and task-prioritization skills.

Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Familiarity with DevOps practices and IaC.

Strong understanding of security best practices for web applications and APIs.

Experience conducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback.

Experience with performance tuning and optimization.

Experience with third‑party libraries, SDKs, and APIs relevant to .NET development.

Professional Certifications None required.

Years of Experience

Five (5) or more years of experience in software development using .NET technologies.

Proven track record of working on complex software projects and leading development initiatives.

Experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level applications.

Desired Experience

Electronic Data Interchange X.12 (EDI) Medical Claims (837, 834, 277, etc.).

Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization technologies (Kubernetes, ECS, EKS).

Formal Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or another relevant engineering or technical discipline (minimum 8 years of experience).

OR Master’s Degree in a relevant discipline (minimum 5 years of experience).

OR Ph.D. in a relevant discipline (minimum 3 years of experience).

Citizenship & Clearance

U.S. Citizenship required for this specific opportunity.

Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI) security clearance.
