A Platform Engineer will provide expertise and leadership in the design, configuration, management and operations of all Data & Analytics platforms, supporting all five of our grocery brands. They are expected to work in a fast?paced and challenging environment leveraging forward?thinking technical engineering expertise in the media device and services area of the enterprise. Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes three in?person days at one of our core locations and two remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL and Quincy, MA. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full?time basis. Duties & Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise in the analysis, design, build and operations of platform solutions to meet business needs. Recommend components for solutions that will work well together across business domains, partner with platform architects or act as the domain architect to ensure adherence to the architectural roadmap. Act as a technical lead of the data platform engineers by leading technical discussions, code reviews and overseeing deployments and support operations. Ensure project artifacts are developed as required, including working with support organizations and suppliers to ensure proper documentation is created and stored in the procedure's manual or document repository. Facilitate/completes the creation of communication plans, ensuring that appropriate information is exchanged among key stakeholders. Develop complete and robust test plans, cases, and scripts; ensure defects are properly resolved and user acceptance is obtained. Ensure the test scripts and defects are entered and tracked in our department tools. Act as communication point keeping the supplier and business partners informed of infrastructure changes, application changes, data changes or upcoming implementations and ensure business?specific impacts are addressed. Ensure integration and consideration of assigned business areas against critical business processing, freeze periods, schedule changes, weather events and significant refresh activities. Lead IAC & PaaS provisioning (infra, storage, compute & other) in both Azure & Databricks, while helping maintain the data platform integrity by implementing and overseeing monitoring/observability capabilities across the stack. Review business processes to understand the capability gaps and opportunities. Recommend innovations and business processes/systems simplifications. Build close relationships with the function heads and their teams. Advise these teams on how technology can be used to match or outpace competitor performance. Work as 3rd level support to help resolve issues within area of responsibility. Maintain a high level of individual contribution, professional growth, and ability to function effectively and independently; challenge others to do the same.
Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field or equivalent job experience. 5+ years of DevOps, CI/CD, automation and platform operations experience. 3?5 years extensive technical experience with Azure, Databricks, AWS, MongoDB, GitHub, Jenkins etc. 3?5 years extensive technical experience with Terraform, Python, JavaScript, PowerShell and YAML. Demonstrated experience with managing/deploying digital media and supporting systems in a widely distributed enterprise environment. Ability to develop detailed solution design and implementation documentation. Extensive experience troubleshooting and resolving distributed wireless connectivity. Ability to manage own work time and priorities in accordance with aggressive timelines and budgets. Demonstrated experience working with multiple support partners and external teams to deliver solutions.

Salary Range: $125,040 - $187,560 Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions.
