Overview
ARCH - Minneapolis is looking for a CNC Swiss Machine Lead to join our team. This role focuses on coaching and developing other Swiss machinists while remaining hands-on as a working lead. Responsibilities include determining work assignments, resolving issues for the team, training machinists, providing leadership, handling maintenance requests, safety incident reporting, managing flow of parts, and producing high-quality parts on a timely basis. Occasional set-ups, program modification, and operation of various CNC Swiss machines may be required. Sign On Bonus:
$3,000.00 Pay Scale:
$35-$40/hour, depending on experience Benefit Package:

Lead production in the CNC Swiss area and communicate with leads on other shifts. Manage daily priorities and assign work to maintain optimal flow; prioritize work based on product and resources. Participate in daily production and GEMBA meetings to communicate scheduled work. Monitor CNC Swiss Machinist productivity to ensure correct machining processes and alignment with manufacturing objectives. Plan and coordinate workflow with other departments and scheduling. Support company policies, work with direct reports, and collaborate with the Leadership Team to resolve issues. Interview and evaluate applicants for vacant positions. Occasionally set up and operate CNC Swiss equipment to produce components from engineering drawings and specifications. Lead process improvement, development, and productivity initiatives. Ensure employees perform and document in-process quality control inspections and labor entries. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized department. Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to contractual requirements At least 5 years of relevant experience in a Swiss machining environment or equivalent Minimum 2-year supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment Contract manufacturing experience desirable Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor a plus) and Microsoft Office Ability to read blueprints, use micrometers, calipers, and other QC gauges Ability to set up and operate CNC Swiss machines Ability to program CNC Swiss machines Competencies
