AWS Software Developer – App Mod/App Dev
Position Title: AWS Software Developer – App Mod/App Dev
Employment Time: Full-Time
Remote: 100% remote, up to 20% travel.
As an AWS Software Developer at Cloudelligent, you’ll design, build, and deploy modern cloud‑native applications that drive digital transformation for our clients. Working closely with Solutions Architects and DevOps engineers, you’ll help modernize legacy systems into scalable, serverless, and event‑driven solutions on AWS.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement scalable, cloud‑native applications using AWS services and modern frameworks.
Modernize legacy systems (e.g., .NET, Java, on‑prem workloads) into microservices, containers, or serverless architectures.
Collaborate with Solutions Architects to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation scripts using AWS Developer Tools, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
Write Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) templates with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Develop APIs, microservices, and event‑driven systems using services such as AWS Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, SNS, and Step Functions.
Integrate backend services with data stores like DynamoDB, Aurora, or RDS.
Collaborate with data and AI/ML teams to embed machine learning or generative AI capabilities using services like SageMaker or Bedrock.
Ensure applications adhere to AWS best practices for security, performance, and cost efficiency.
Troubleshoot and optimize applications for scalability, reliability, and performance.
Stay current with new AWS services, frameworks, and cloud‑native development trends.
Requirements
4+ years of experience in application development, with at least 3 years on AWS.
Proven experience modernizing legacy applications or building microservices/serverless applications.
Strong programming skills in one or more languages (Python, Node.js, Java, C#, or Go).
Proficient in front‑end development with modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
Hands‑on experience with containers (Docker, ECS, EKS) and serverless (Lambda, API Gateway).
Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins).
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform or CloudFormation.
Understanding of AWS application services such as DynamoDB, App Runner, Step Functions, SQS, and SNS.
Familiarity with integrating AI/ML or generative AI services (SageMaker, Bedrock, or OpenAI APIs).
Strong problem‑solving and collaboration skills with a passion for clean, maintainable code.
Highly Preferred
AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
Experience working in client‑facing consulting or agile delivery environments.
