In the role of Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Expert 3 (MT3), you'll play a crucial part in our Supply Chain Facility operations, ensuring efficient product delivery to our guests. Your expertise will be invaluable across our regional distribution centers and fulfillment centers, making a positive impact on thousands of team members and customers globally. As an MT3, you will become a technical subject matter expert responsible for optimizing equipment performance and availability. With a focus on preventive and predictive maintenance, you will swiftly tackle equipment breakdowns and ensure swift resolutions. Collaboration will be key as you work with fellow maintenance technicians and interact with building leaders. This role not only involves troubleshooting but also includes acting as a mentor for less experienced technicians, sharing your knowledge to strengthen the team's technical skills. In this role, you will: Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS). Adjust and control positioning accuracy and timing mechanisms. Oversee and maintain the operation of scanners, cameras, scales, and printer applicators. Repair or replace components such as belts, chains, cables, and other wearing parts. Conduct cleaning, lubrication, and calibration of equipment. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic and control components, including sensors and motor starters. Troubleshoot PLC programs and components, ensuring effective communication across field buses. Work on various types of robots and complex power distribution systems. Develop emergency repair plans for critical assets with peer technicians. Utilize mobile apps and handheld devices for effective work order documentation. Maintain strong, positive relationships throughout the organization. Follow safety protocols and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a secure work environment. Drive Target-owned vehicles for maintenance tasks and part procurement. Work effectively in diverse environmental conditions. Stand or walk for extended periods and lift items up to 49 pounds. This dynamic role requires flexibility as responsibilities may evolve with business needs. About you: Possess or be able to obtain a valid driver's license. Demonstrate excellent PC skills and familiarity with mobile applications. Have a background in reading wiring diagrams and understanding electrical measurements. Bring experience in: Preventive and predictive maintenance practices. Blueprint and schematic interpretation. Work order management processes. Industrial electrical systems, controls, and electronics. Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems. Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards. Maintenance of automated material handling systems or robotics. Preferred qualifications: Technical or community college degree or relevant industrial maintenance certifications focusing on mechanical or electrical fields. 4+ years of experience in mechanical or electrical maintenance.
