Diversified Automation
The Senior Project Manager for Diversified Automation is a pivotal role within the Operations Department, responsible for overseeing and managing a diverse portfolio of automation projects. This position requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in project management, particularly within the automation industry. The Senior Project Manager will travel approximately 60%.
Job Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of automation projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and operational requirements.
Resource Management: Effectively allocate resources, including personnel and budget, to meet project milestones and deliverables.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and clients, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues related to project scope, timeline, and budget, and implement proactive measures to mitigate their impact.
Quality Assurance: Oversee quality control processes to ensure that automation solutions meet or exceed industry standards and client expectations.
Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and Subcontractors to procure necessary materials and services, negotiate contracts, monitor progress and maintain relationships.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize project management processes, enhance efficiency, and maximize project outcomes.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, and financial records, and generate regular status reports for management review.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Experience and Education
• Bachelor’s Degree — engineering, business, or related field
• Proven experience successfully managing material handling projects
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Advanced proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project)
• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
• PMP certification, and training related to automation technologies or project management
