Inventory Control Lead (B Shift)

Description Your Opportunity We have an exciting Inventory Control Lead opportunity in our Guymon Processing Plant. In this highly impactful role, you will be responsible for maintaining the inspection, verification, recording, and input of data into a system for the receipt and distribution of packaging materials for a pork harvest facility—ability to communicate and collaborate with management and operations effectively. RESPONSIBILITIES Physically receives and records all packaging materials in the company’s inventory system Must understand labeling and lot system for product packaging Conducts inventory counts, rotation, and transferring tasks, as required, and enters counts into the inventory control system using RF scanners Monitors, verifies, and maintains inventory levels using existing inventory system Maintain system data integrity, ensure entries follow defined nomenclature to support competitive sourcing events Ability to operate a powered industrial truck (forklift) and maintain the certification May be required to supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees in the absence of the Supervisor under the direction of departmental Manager participates in department and company efforts to achieve goals and objectives Communicates effectively and collaborates with department leaders and operations management to ensure the position provides a high level of customer service and accountability Complies with all food safety and workplace safety practices and procedures Performs other duties as assigned CRITICAL COMPETENCIES Optimizes Work Processes Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement. QUALIFICATIONS Packaging and/or inventory experience, including mathematics and ability to interpret varying units of measure Work experience in purchasing, materials management or other related field in a high volume, fast-paced work environment is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office suite, advance Excel skills or similar application and M3 or other inventory control system experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English required, bi-lingual a plus.
