About the Role
Join a prestigious engineering consulting firm as a Senior Structural Engineer in a dynamic and collaborative environment. In this role, you will tackle exciting marine and waterfront infrastructure projects that include ferry terminals, marinas, shipyards, floating structures, and industrial waterfront facilities.
As a senior member of our team, you will lead the design and deliver impactful projects that enhance communities while providing mentorship and support to junior staff. Your technical expertise combined with your leadership will be vital to our collective success.
What You'll Do
Lead structural design initiatives on complex waterfront projects, focusing on pile foundations, bulkhead walls, prestressed concrete, and seismic design.
Manage project scope, budgets, and timelines while ensuring smooth coordination across various disciplines.
Perform site visits and inspections to uphold technical excellence and compliance.
Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge-sharing within the team.
Cultivate strong client relationships, serving as a trusted technical advisor throughout project lifecycles.
What We're Looking For
15+ years of structural design experience, preferably with a focus on waterfront or marine infrastructure.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis required); Master’s degree preferred.
Licensed Structural Engineer (SE).
Deep expertise in concrete, steel, and timber design, with hands-on experience in piles, bulkhead walls, prestressed concrete, and seismic design.
Familiarity with ASCE 61-14, AASHTO, IBC, ASCE-7, AISC, ACI, and NDS standards.
Proficiency in software such as SAP2000, L-Pile, Excel, and VBA is preferred.
Excellent communication skills with a proven track record in project leadership and client engagement.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary ranging from $150,000 to $230,000, commensurate with experience, along with performance-based bonuses.
