Atrium Health Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute (SHVI) - Charlotte, is currently seeking a Flex Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery Advanced Practice Provider to join their established practice in Charlotte, NC. You'll be joining a great team atmosphere with opportunities for autonomy. Our surgeons are readily available and easy to work with. Our busy practice provides plenty of opportunities for continued growth while remaining centrally location.
Practice Highlights: The practice has 11 cardiac surgeons across SHVI and 3 clinic-based outpatient APPs at our three sites (separate inpatient only team with >25 APPs) Busy practice averaging just under 1000 cases a year across the group Job Summary
Coordinate, provide, and assist in providing comprehensive quality patient care to Cardiothoracic patients in collaboration with a supervising physician. Review referrals to CT surgeons. Complete pre-op testing and risk assessment. Complete post-op clinic visits. Expectation approx 20 patients per week. Oversee clinic nurse navigators and RNs for triage and post-op virtual monitoring programs. Participate in quality, outcomes and pre-op risk meetings. Work closely with SHVI Structural Heart colleagues. Candidate must be able to work independently and efficiently with strong decision-making skills. Strong communication skills a must. Will be working with a variety of MDs, APPs and ancillary staff for outpatient management and coordination of patient care. Expectation of 8hr workday. Minimum PRN requirement 2 shifts per quarter. Work at all three sites expected Ideal candidates:
Graduated from an accredited NP or PA program AND maintain a current license to practice as an NP or PA in North Carolina. Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required. BLS/ACLS Certified. Physician Assistants: certification from the NCCPA required Nurse Practitioners: Acute Care NP, Family NP, or Adult NP Certification required Experience in cardiology, cardiothoracic or vascular surgery preferred About SHVI:
