Job DescriptionJob Description Summary
Our Denver based client is in immediate need of a qualified and dedicated
Project Manager (PM) or Sr. Project Manager (Sr. PM)
who is very experienced in the
Healthcare/Life Sciences sector
of construction. Our client is an extremely successful General Contractor with an incredible track record and a solid reputation for providing excellent service in the following areas: Commercial Construction,
Life Sciences , Mixed-Use, and Occupied spaces. As the Project Manager or Sr. PM, your mission and responsibility are to strategically build out a team, while leading them accordingly, in addition to planning and reviewing each project daily as well as implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards. Successful candidates must be organized, a self-starter, and a strong communicator.
Duties & Responsibilities
Add to existing team necessary supporting pieces
Prepare project schedules
Review project drawings and specifications
Coordinate with the project development team to develop the architecture, interior design, and construction specifications
Develop construction estimates
Reviewing budget information and meeting targeted budget goals
Conduct project kick-off meetings with VP of Construction and project team
Coordinate materials for project through suppliers
Monitor expenditures, identifying variances between estimated budget and revenue and implement corrective actions
Coordinate with the production team to ensure projects are completed from start to finish in a timely and efficient manner
Decision making responsibility concerning project cost, time, methods and performance
Accountability for contract administration, execution, job cost tracking, billing, change order control system, claims, and job closeout
Participate in company project management meetings reviewing performance
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors Degree Building Construction Management
Minimum of 5 years experience managing commercial construction
Must possess experience as a Project Manager in the Life Sciences sector
Accustomedto working on jobs (4-5 jobs at a time) $4.5M - $20M projects
Experience running projects in either technology, biotech, healthcare.
Knowledge of codes and general construction methods
Demonstrated ability to read and understand contracts
Experience in writing detailed scopes of work
Computer skills Excel, Word, estimating software
Demonstrated ability working with the accounting department to produce accurate operations reports
Excellent people management, communication, and negotiating skills
Ability to work independently, to use time productively, and to work well with customers in a multi-functional, fast-paced environment.
Able to adapt to daily activities that can become complex and confusing
Capable of understanding priorities and managing priorities effectively
Ability to communicate and interpret instructions in a clear and precise style
Ability to compose standard letters, with proper format, grammar, punctuation, and spelling, using all parts of speech appropriately
Ability to speak with poise, voice control, and confidence
Good analytical skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to formulate plans and work independently
Ability to evaluate the options and make the best choice while listening objectively to others opinions
