Summary : The Indirect Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and procuring indirect goods and services that support overall business operations but are not directly related to production. This role will work closely with internal departments to understand purchasing needs, develop bid proposals, analyze costs, negotiate contracts, and ensure procurement activities align with company policies, compliance, and cost-saving objectives.

This position plays a key role in integrating indirect purchasing into the Purchasing Department to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and compliance across all non-production spend categories. It does not include direct reports but requires strong collaboration with internal teams and autonomy in managing assigned categories. Responsibilities :

Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., facilities, IT, HR, finance, engineering) to understand requirements for indirect goods and services. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for categories including MRO supplies, office equipment, IT services, consulting, utilities, professional services, facility services, and more. Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs, analyze bids, and lead cost and value analysis. Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers in alignment with corporate goals and policies. Manage supplier contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with internal controls and legal requirements. Monitor supplier performance, resolve disputes, and manage ongoing supplier relationships. Maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes. Continuously identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and value-added services. Support the development and enforcement of purchase policies and procedures across indirect spend categories. Stay informed about market trends, supply chain risks, and changes in relevant laws and regulations. Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED required. 5 to 8 years of procurement experience with a focus on indirect categories or a Degree in Business Administration. Experience in consolidating decentralized procurement activities. Experience implementing procurement systems or improving purchasing processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for cost analysis, data manipulation, and tracking tools (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.). Strong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally. Knowledge of procurement practices, contract law, and purchasing compliance policies. Seniority level
