Collaborates with market sector champions to pursue business development opportunities and implement overall marketing strategies for a defined market. Assists in the development and preparation of market research, lead generation, pre-win strategies, proposals, and any other needs to successfully obtain new business. This position includes two steps (Step I and Step II), to provide progression based on skill and experience. Step I is for individuals with 1-4 years of experience in this role; Step II is for employees with 5 or more years of experience and/or assigned to larger or more complex projects or markets in this role. This role requires experience working on projects including heavy civil and highway. Key Responsibilities
Manages relationships in one or more market sectors/area. Coordinates relationship management meetings with key industry contacts and business partners. Assists in the development of pre-win strategies. Schedules and records debriefs on all proposed projects, awarded or not. Skilled in the use of the companys business development support tools (project database, CD library, photo library, etc.). Assists the Business Development Manager with public relation activities. Executes profit centers marketing plan. Participates in activities to support the companys strategic planning efforts. Minimum Job Requirements
BS Degree required. 2+ years business development/marketing work in a construction related industry. 4+ years marketing experience. Proficient use of all Microsoft Office Suite programs. Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift/work day. May stoop, kneel, or bend, on an occasional basis. Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis. Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures. Will lift, push or pull objects pounds on an occasional basis. Will interact with people and technology frequently during a shift/work day. Will use telephone, computer system, email, and other electronic devices on a frequent basis to communicate with internal and external customers or vendors. Safety Level
