Branch Manager
Job Description
Amalgamated Bank is seeking a Branch Manager to be responsible for the overall business development of the Branch office. This role will achieve established Branch performance metrics for business, transaction accounts, loans, investments and insurance sales. This role will also manage the daily operations of the Branch, ensuring adherence to Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines. The Branch Manager maintains the operational integrity of the branch and ensures the branch operates within banking laws and compliance to mitigate exposure and risk. The Branch Manager will also assume responsibility for solving customer problems; ensure all commitments to customers are met in a timely manner and each response is complete and accurate.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for overall management of the Branch Operations; carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Bank policies, procedures and regulatory guidelines
Develop new business relationships, expand and retain existing ones
Conduct business calls to existing and potential customers
Develop and manage sales process within the Branch office
Cultivate and retain a staff that is customer focused and accountable for individual performance
Develop, train, coach and mentor staff
Approve transactions, authorizations, exceptions and adjustments
Deliver value to our customers by exhibiting excellence at all levels through streamlined, accurate and efficient service and operational performance
Communicate product and service features and benefits in a clear and compelling manner
Assure that Branch records, reports and operations are accurate and timely
Participate in Branch networking, community and CRA activities
Knowledge and use of the Bank’s REDi system to keep current with updates to policy and procedures
Process incoming and outgoing email and mail requests
Perform other duties as directed
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Five years of branch operations management experience or equivalent
Detailed knowledge of banking procedures and regulations
Strong communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $95,000-$100,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
