Position Boiler Technician – responsible for operating high‑pressure steam boilers and centrifugal chillers.

Responsibilities
Operate a centralized air conditioning plant and high‑pressure steam plant serving a complex of buildings on a campus.
Possess skills and knowledge covering all operational phases of utility plant operation.
Operate multiple high‑pressure steam boilers and centrifugal chillers.
Perform boiler plant duties: start and stop boilers with associated auxiliaries, continuously monitor boiler operation, log hourly boiler readings, test and analyze boiler water to confirm treatment meets limits, test boiler safety devices, and conduct preventive maintenance and repair of boilers and associated plant equipment.
Perform chiller plant duties: start and stop chillers with auxiliaries, monitor chiller equipment, and conduct preventive maintenance and repair of chillers and associated plant equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Physical Demands
Ability to climb ladders and work from catwalks.
Ability to work in a hot and loud environment.
Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
Shift
Second or third shift, 40 hours.
Must be available for overtime on any of the 3 shifts.
Required Experience
California Certification required.
Military experience is encouraged to apply. Military Occupational Specialty Code: 91C, UT, 1161, 3E1X1.
